Carroll Community College - Lynx
Why the Lynx?
Carroll Community College’s new mascot, initially suggested by one of its students, was embraced by the Carroll community for a variety of reasons. The lynx is a genus of medium-sized wild cats that includes the North American bobcat, which can be found locally in Carroll County. The animal symbolizes truth, honour, good luck and vision. The Lynx is also a constellation, located just north of Gemini and Cancer, serving as a reminder for our students to always “shoot for the stars!”
